All intermediate/advanced students ages 12+ are encouraged to attend a contemporary masterclass with Aaron McGloin. This class is open to the public, so bring your dance friends.

This class plays with the attention to detail and control found in Ballet and Hip-Hop, the use of weight and efficiency from Modern Dance, and the momentum and power of Jazz to challenge the experienced dancer to push beyond what is comfortable and explore more dynamic, full-bodied phrasework. Starting with a simple and efficient warm up and evolving into more complex movement patterns, dancers will work through the full range of the limbs and their connection to the core – always keeping in mind the joy of the moving body and the artistry of dance.

AARON McGLOIN, a Phoenix native, graduated from Arizona State University with a BFA in Choreography. Over the past decade he has had the privilege of performing with companies throughout Phoenix, Chicago, and NYC including CONDER/dance, Aerial Dance Chicago, Christopher Williams, and Project 44. He formed Aaron McGloin Dance in 2008 with a mission to create honest and ambitious art with an eclectic sensibility. Over the past 10 years they have created dozens of new dances and taught classes at schools and venues throughout the country.
